Millstadt Tin Man Half Marathon and 5K Run

First of all, THANK YOU to all of our past runners!!  Because of your support (and many others), the Old Millstadt Water Tower's restoration is complete - just not completely paid yet.  We welcome all of our past runners as well as many new runners for the 6th annual Millstadt Tin Man Half Marathon and 5K races, which will be held on Sunday May 19, 2024.  Both races will start at 7:30 a.m.  The course will be the same as last year, beginning at the corner of Madison and Breese streets, by the Millstadt Tin Man, and will be out-and-back for both distances along East Madison Street, Urbana Road, Schmidt Lane and Park Road.  We will have volunteers at all of the road intersections, but traffic will be on the route - please stay to the side of the roads!!  The course is over oiled and chipped roads with gentle hills through the Millstadt countryside.

The top three overall male and female finishers in both the half marathon and 5K will receive plaques.  In addition, the top three finishers in each age bracket will receive a medal.  However, there will be no duplication of awards.  Age groups (M & F) will be 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over.  All registrants will receive a tee shirt.  In addition, all half marathon finishers will receive a commemorative gift.  We will be serving post-race refreshments at Ott's.  Rob Morris, the owner of the Kantina DJ service, will again be providing the music for a lively race atmosphere.  Leesman Funeral Home, located at the corner of Jefferson and Mill,  in Millstadt, has agreed to allow parking on their lot, as has Central Bank (3 East Washington) and the owners of the former Mertz building (100 East Washington).  5K runners may park at Spike's Public House, located right by the start and finish lines, until 10:30.  

The entry fee for the half marathon will be $55 until 11:59 pm on April 22, 2024; from April 23 until 7:00 pm on May 18 the fee will be $60; race day registration will be $65.  The entry fee for the 5K will be $30 until 11:59 pm on April 22; it will be $35 from April 23 until 7:00 pm on May 18; race day registration will be $40.  Entry fees are non-refundable.  The races will be held rain or shine.  To guarantee receiving a tee shirt in your size, please register before April 22, 2024.  Anyone donating $20 will also receive a tee shirt.  Packet pick-up will be on Saturday May 18 from 4-6 pm at Ott's Tavern, 20 East Washington, Millstadt, and on Sunday May 19 from 6:30-7:30 am at the race.  We encourage anyone who will be in the Millstadt area on Saturday to stop by to get your packet.
